Training Information
Overview
Training commences all year round with the exception of the Christmas break and a transitional break between training seasons. The winter season training concentrates on strength conditioning and endurance for cross country running, where as the summer season training is track based around speed endurance, skill and technique work.
Summer 2009 Training Plan
Training Kit
Members of the squad are expected to attend training wearing the correct clothing and footwear appropriate for the time of year and type of training.
Outdoor Kit:
T-shirt / running vest, Shorts
Tracksuit (or jogging bottoms + warm top)
Waterproof jacket [bottoms are optional]
Running shoes (no fashion trainers!)
Running spike (6mm pins for track or 12/15mm for XC) [Optional]
Bottle of water or squash, NO FIZZY DRINKS (min 1/2 litre)
Change of clothes + towel when wet
Training fee's (£1 / session)
Any medication that may be required, Note: No inhaler, no training!!
